What Have You Done Print

“Oh, why am I in trouble?”

cried the prince held in the air.

“You’ve been a naughty fox,” she scalded,

“as you are aware!

You may enjoy the winter’s kiss

and bounding through the snow,

but hedgehog needs her sleep to last

until the bluebells show!

You cannot hare around the woods

waking all your friends.

They must stay safe and warm inside

until the winter ends.

Hibernation might feel long

when waiting each cold day,

but think of all the fun you’ll have

when friends return to play!”

This print of my original watercolour artwork and original poem was inspired by the first signs of spring and the mischievious foxes I have seen glimpses of at dusk and dawn.
